    Definition

    What is a clipping campaign?

A clipping campaign pays a network of clippers to cut your existing footage, such as DJ sets, vlogs and live performances, into short clips and post them across TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Instead of one video, your release shows up in hundreds of clips from accounts your audience already watches.

Most artists already have more video than they post. A two-hour set, a tour vlog or a podcast appearance holds dozens of moments that could carry a track, but nobody has time to find them, cut them and get them onto the right accounts. Clipping does that work at volume. Each clip is a fresh chance for the algorithm to pick up your music, and each one lives on an account that already has an audience in your genre.

Clipping is different from a creator or influencer campaign. A UGC campaign pays creators to make original videos using your audio, which builds sound velocity for one song. Clipping cuts footage of you, which builds narrative velocity: your story, your persona and an audience for the artist, not only the track.

    Process

    How our clipping campaigns work

    01
    Step 01

    Source footage

Send your sets, vlogs or performance footage. No footage? We source relevant social content in-house, such as EDM edits, racing clips or lifestyle footage.

    02
    Step 02

    Cut and test hooks

Your footage becomes short vertical clips. We A/B test hooks, overlays and captions to find the versions that perform.

    03
    Step 03

    Approval-only posting

Verified, genre-native clippers post the clips. We only pay for approved posts that meet the campaign parameters.

    04
    Step 04

    Real-time attribution

Follow every approved post with real-time attribution for the full run, typically 1 to 3 weeks.

    What we clip

Clipping works for any niche with footage people replay. These are the ones we run most. No footage? We source it in-house.

    Music

Artists, DJs and labels. Sets, performances and vlogs cut into clips that carry the hook of the track.

    Events

Festivals, tours and live events. Highlights that sell the next date and keep the lineup in feeds.

    Livestreamers

Twitch, Kick and YouTube streamers. The moments chat reacted to, cut into clips for short-form feeds.

    TV and film

Shows, films and trailers. Scenes and quotes that send viewers back to the release.

    Podcasts

Video podcasts and interviews. One episode becomes dozens of standalone clips.

    Sports

Teams, athletes and leagues. Plays, reactions and sideline moments cut for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

    Pricing

    Clipping pricing

Clipping is billed per 1,000 views (CPM), with a minimum budget per content format. Music is $2 CPM, and other media formats can run up to $4 CPM. These are the same rates as our campaign builder, in US dollars.

CPM is the cost per 1,000 views, so a music campaign pays $2 for every thousand views it delivers. Out-of-scope formats are quoted per campaign, with a $10,000 minimum budget. Because payouts are approval-only, spend goes to posts that meet the campaign parameters, not to clips that never should have gone live.

Every campaign is scoped to your footage, genre and release timing. Build a plan in the pricing builder or request a proposal and we respond within 24 hours. To see how clipping sits next to every other service and minimum, check campaign budgets and minimums.

The short version: run UGC when a new song needs sound usage, and run clipping when you have footage and want to grow the artist. Priority releases often run both, with UGC for the song, clipping for the artist and ads layered on top. Our UGC campaigns for music page covers the creator tiers, and Spotify playlisting turns the attention into streams.

    Accountability

    Why approval-only matters

Clipping is easy to fake. A vendor can point bots at a clip, loop low-quality reposts or recycle the same cut across dead accounts, and the view count still goes up. None of that reaches a listener, and none of it helps the next release.

We run it the other way around. We only pay clippers for approved posts that meet the campaign parameters. Every clip comes from a verified, genre-native clipper with proven reach, and every approved post shows up in your live tracking. The result is a report you can check post by post, not one view total you have to take on trust.

    • No bots
    • No fake loops
    • No recycled content
    Fit

    Who clipping is for

    A strong fit

    • DJs and touring artists with set or show footage that never made it past their own stories.
    • Artists with vlogs, studio sessions, interviews or podcast appearances sitting unused.
    • Artists between releases who need to keep the algorithm fed with content.
    • Labels with music videos, livestreams and live footage across a release cycle.
    • Anyone building artist persona and lore, not just sound usage on one song.

    Not the right first step

    • Budgets under $2,000. Spotify playlisting starts at $200, and influencer campaigns start at $1,000.
    • A brand new song that needs sound usage in its first 30 days. That is a job for a UGC creator campaign, which is built for sound velocity.

Not sure which one fits? Tell us about the release and the footage you have, and we will tell you honestly whether clipping is the right spend.
